Sherron Ellis

 

Sherron Ellis, 64 of Edna, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013. She was born in Crane on Feb. 6, 1949 to Lucile Ulrich and the late Bobby L. Taylor. 
In addition to her mother, she is survived by sisters, Sherrill Taylor of Morton and JoNell Curry of Beeville; brothers, Joe Ulrich III of Bloomington, Robert Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, and Kelly Taylor all of Morton; and extended family members. 
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her daughter Sara Ellis, step-father, Joseph F. Ulrich, Jr. and brother Westley Quentin Taylor. 
Graveside services were 2 p.m., Monday, June 10 at Golden Sunset Cemetery with Rev. Larry Helms officiating.
Memorials may be made to Sherron Ellis Funeral Fund C/O JoNell Curry at IBC Bank.

Christopher L. Rosa Jr.

 

Christopher L. Rosa Jr., 80 of Edna passed away Thursday May 16, 2013. He was born May 29, 1932 in Edna to the late Christopher and Pauline Rosa, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy G. Rosa, sons, Chon and wife Byanka, Christopher III and wife Melissa, Carlos and daughters, Celeste and Cathy; a daughter, Crystal and husband John; brother, Alfred Rosa; sister, Elizabeth, and 46 grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday May 19 from 5 -7 p.m. at the Slavik Funeral Home 209 N. Allen St. in Edna. Funeral services were Monday, May 20 at 10 a.m. at the Slavik Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry officiating. Private interment will be in the Rosa Cemetery.

Roger McDonald

 

Roger Gill McDonald, 62, of LaSalle, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born in Leesville, LA on Oct. 8, 1950 to the late Gill Roy and Loraine Hall McDonald. He was in construction with Brown and Root and a medical lab technician with Port Lavaca Hospital. He was a member of Vanderbilt Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his wife, Gwen McDonald; daughter, Susan L McDonald of Austin; son, Roger G. McDonald, Jr. of Hallettsville; sisters, Doris Jeane of Bossier City, La., Brenda Brannon of Bossier City, La..; and four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Sharon McDonald.
The funeral service will be Monday, May 13 at 3 p.m. at Vanderbilt Baptist Church with the burial on Tuesday, May 14 at 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Slagle, La.
Pallbearers will be: Jeramaie Thomas, Thomas Saldivar, Gabe Wilson, Rodney Horton, Mark James and Pat Stuart.
