Ray Rakowitz

 

Ray W. Rakowitz, 72, of Ganado died Friday, May 10, 2013. He was born in LaSalle on Aug. 16, 1941 to the late Alban and Rosie Yendrey Rakowitz. 
Ray was an active member of the Ganado Lions Club, Crossroads Emmaus Fourth Day Group, UMArmy SWTX Mission Camps, Mustang Squares, First United Methodist Church and an active member of the Body of Christ. 
He is survived by his wife Camille Rakowitz, son Bill Rakowitz and wife Tyanne, daughter Reah Ysa and husband Rick, daughter Rhonda Rakowitz; grandchildren Randy and Gretchen Rakowitz, Ali and Wes Sulak, Ross Rakowitz, Nicholas Ysa, Lauren Ysa; and great-grandchildren Mason Sulak, Rustyn Rakowitz, Ridge Rakowitz and soon-to-arrive Connor Sulak; sisters Mary Boehm, Justine Vesely, Ruby Sawyer, Dorothy Hagen; brother Albert Rakowitz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters Gertrude Mills, Anna Reyher and Frances Tudyk.
Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, May 13 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 200 Twin Oaks Blvd., in Ganado. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Ganado with graveside services immediately following at the Ganado Cemetery. 
Pallbearers are Bubba Tegeler, Buzzy Boehm, Gene Vesely, Phil Tudyk, Tracey Hagen, David Rakowitz, Edward Rakowitz, Marvin Sawyer and Mike Tudyk. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Ganado Lions Club. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Ganado Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 345, Ganado, TX 77962.
