Evelyn Fowler

 

Evelyn Ella Fowler, 88 of Ganado passed away Monday, June 3, 2013. Born May 19, 1925 in Blessing, she was the first child of the late Louis and Mary Faktor Vaclavick. 
Besides helping build the family house moving business, Evelyn was a homemaker; kind hearted and lovingly supportive of her family. A woman of strong faith and unconditional love. She was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. 
A lifetime member of Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, she was also a Charter Member and Grand Regent of Court St. Alberta Catholic Daughters of America, a member and past president of Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, associate member of Incarnate Word of the Blessed Sacrament, Altar Society and The American Legion Auxiliary.  
Survivors include two daughters Ginger Fowler of Ganado and Faye Schlein and husband Tommy of Victoria; six sons, Anthony Fowler and wife Debbie Sue, Billy Fowler and wife Carol, Jimmy Fowler and wife Kathy, all of Ganado, Donald and wife Debbie Kay of Brazoria, Timmy Fowler and wife Deborah of College Station and H.E. Fowler and wife Janis of Inez. To cherish her memory are twenty-one grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. 
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Harold E. Fowler, grandson Clint Edward Fowler, sister Mildred Faas and brother Louis Vaclavick.  
The family received friends on June 5 at the Ganado Funeral Home. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was June 6 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Ganado with Rev. Michael Lyons and Rev. George Henninger officiating. Burial followed at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
