Industrial Cobras win first in tournament

The Industrial Cobras played in a tournament hosted by the Ganado Maidens Aug. 22-24 and won first place. They just played Palacios on Aug. 27 and will play in Yoakum on Sept. 3.

2013 Southern Swing Volleyball

Southern Swing Volleyball of Victoria hosted the 2013 Summer Swing Volleyball League in June and Industrial won first place in the Youth division. Numerous teams from Victoriam El Campo, Edna, Industrial, Port Lavaca, Cuero and the surrouding areas competed in the event.

Lady H's begin season

The Jackson County Youth Sports Association was formed in July by manager Brian Hyden. They have a 12U Girls Select softball team with a 10U boys team starting in November and a 14U girls teams starting in January.

The 12U Lady Hurricanes compete in their first tournament Aug. 10-11 and finished in fifth place.

Maidens win two

The Ganado Maidens played numerous volleyball games this past week. They lost to the Bloomington Bobcats 0-3 on Aug. 20, then hosted a tounrmaent from Aug. 22-24. During their tournament, they won against the Columbia Roughnecks, 2-0 and won against Faith Academy as well, 2-0.
