Maidens work

The Lady Maidens won against the Louise Horneys on Tuesday, Sept. 10, winning three games to one, 25-21, 21-25, 27-25 and 25-14.

Varsity coach Bryan Branch said the Louise tema played great and did exactly what he expected.

Cowgirl power

The scores fo the Cowgirls' game afainst Tidehaven's Tigers were 25-11, 25-14 and 25-13. "The team is putting a lot of hard work in the gym," Head coach Rachel Collins said. "They are working on perfecting their game and having intensity throughout their practices to it will transfer to the matches. As long as we stay together as a team, communicate and hold the momentum we will be good."

Cobras attack

"Aransas Pass was the team that kept us out of the playoffs last year, so we're really excited to heve beat them in the way we did," said Jamie Casarez, Industrial head coach. "We took care of some unfinished business today." Unfinished business has been a theme for the team this year, their goals has been to get the jobs taken care of that weren't successful last year.

The Edna Cowboys got their second win of the season at home against the Goliad Tigers, 29-19. Goliad won the toss and deferred to Edna.

The struggle continued this week as the Industrial Cobras fell short of the Tidehaven Tigers on Friday nigh, 21-15. The Cobras' hard work and hopes were dashed as the Tigers pulled ahead early in the first hald of the game.

Indians triumph at homecoming

The Ganado Indians played an outstanding homecomign game on Friday night against the Van Vleck Leopards and won, 20-13. Head coach Jimmy Thompson said even though the team made some mistakes, he thought the Indians played well.

All American girls

Industrial Junior High cheerleaders Skylar Lenamon and Karagan Kusak earned the highest honor of All-American Cheerleader at UCA Cheer Camp in July. Lenamon is the daughter of Sherri and Matt Martin and Kusak is the daughter of Tanya and JJ Kusak.

Ganado takes Industrial

Emotions were high on Friday afternoon as the Cobras faced Ganado in the Maroon showdown and lsot, 34-7. Prior to the game, Head Coach Shane Lothman said he felt really good about the matchup and all his boys needed to do was show up and play. But despite Cobras efforts by the number on the scoreboard, the Indians came out on top.

Maidens working hard for a win

"I thought we played great the first two games against Faith, our intensity level was good, we were being aggressive and we were hustling for balls," said Coach Bryan Branch of the Ganado Maidens. "When we changed benches for the third game we let up like we had the game in the bag and that was disappointing."

The Maidens played against Faith Academy and lost, three games to two.
