The Jackson County Youth Sports Association is a newly formed nonprofit organization to give the youth of the community the chance to excel in the sport they love. The JCYSA will be encouraging teamwork, good sportsmanship and physical well-being of each participant, while developing the fundamental skills of the sport they are participating in.
The sports promoted through JCYSA will include: baseball, softball, volleyball, boys and girls soccer and basketball.
As of now the JCYSA has a 12U girls softball team, the Lady Hurricanes, which will be participating in their first tournament in Victoria on August 10. They are only a few players shy of having a 14U girls softball team.
For questions on becoming a member of the JCYSA, please contact Brian Hyden, president of JCYSA at 361-771-6145.
