Season football ticket sale dates for the Edna Cowboys are Monday through Friday, Aug. 12-16, from 8-12pm.

Football season ticket holders may purchase tickets during these five days only. All tickets not sold will be offered to the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis starting Monday, Aug. 19.

Ganado ISD coaches held a volleyball camp forincoming sixth through ninth graders at the new gym. Nicole Ressman connects with the ball to hit it to the other side.

Edna ISD held a football fundamentals camp at Shelby Park, July 24-25 for students ages 6-12. A fellow camper looks on as Reese Orsak becomes airborne for a football.

Industrial ISD coaches held a four-day football camp for all incoming fourth to ninth grade students at the Industrial High School football field. Students learned fundamental skills and stances for defensive and offensive players.

Pitcher Kevin Landgrebe of the Jackson County Thunder was recently names co-Most Valuable Player by the fans and the community staff after their championship game against the LaGrange Demons. Landgrebe shared the title with another Demon.

"I didn't think I was going to get it, but I'm honored to win," Landgrebe said. "Besides, I think the whole team played an MVP-worthy game."
