Running in the Boston Marathon is a ‘bucket list’ item for many runners. It is one of the biggest races in the world, and simply qualifying is an ordeal. Lindsey Bradford of Edna ran in the Louisiana Marathon Jan. 20, finishing third in her division with a time of 3:39:08, qualifying for Boston. Now, if only it had been that simple. Of course, it was her sister’s idea.
“Shelley [Srp] was the one that convinced me to run a marathon,” said Bradford, who works at Bradford Motors in Edna with husband, Jon.
