School spirit

The three high school bands in Jackson County competed in Edna's marching contest on Oct. 12 to prepare for El Campo's UIL regional marching contest on Oct. 19. 20 bands competed in the marching contest.

Ganado's Pride of the Tribe won second place in 1A and was awarded outstanding color guard 1A.

Edna's Cowboys band received first place in the Division I.

The Industrial band received Division I first place in 2A, outstanding 2A horn line and best of class outstanding 2A band.

Cowboys get clawed

After their open date, our Edna Cowboys hit the road to start district play against the Hempstead Bobcats. Despite a hard fought game, Edna fell to Hempstead in a 49-32 offensive dual.

Cobras fall to Raiders

In their first district matchup the Industrial Cobras fell to the Rice Raiders on Friday night. While the Cobras played extremely well with very few errors, the final score had the Raiders on top with a score of 27-13.
