Cowboys play home turf

 

Both the Edna Cowgirls and Cowboys played the Palacios Sharkettes and Sharks on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and both teams won. 40-36 was the final score for the girls, and 67-52 was the final score for the guys.
The Cowgirls (6-12, 3-4) played Tidehaven on Jan. 3 and won, 36-20. 
The Cowboys (4-7, 1-2) also played Tidehaven on Jan. 3 and won, 47-42.

Cobra teams work defense

The Industrial Cobras played Refugio varsity teams on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and won both games. Final score for the females was 54-32, and the final score for the males was 65-50.

The female Cobras won against the Palacios Sharkettes on Jan. 3, with a score of 53-36.

The Cobras also played Palacios, there, on Jan. 3, and won, 35-27.

The Maidens of Ganado played the Flatonia Lady Dogs on Jan. 3, there, and won by a huge margin, 41-15.

The Indians played Woodsboro on Jan. 3 and lost, 42-58.

The Maidens (7-5) played a basketball game against Victoria Cobra HomeSchool on Dec. 17, and won 52-28.
Ashley Bridges scored 18 points, two rebounds, five steals and two assists, plus Taylor Mirelez’s 11 points, five rebounds and two steals. Valeria Garcia scored nine points, six rebounds and three steals, while Sarah Novak scored eight points, three rebounds and four steals. Cheyenne Galindo scored four points and a rebound, plus Emma Weschler’s two points and a steal. Desirea Vasquez had two steals and two assists, plus Sierra Salazar’s rebound, two steals and an assist. Jordan Banda had three steals and an assist, plus Ashley Allen’s rebound and a block.

Cowgirls play hard

The Edna Cowgirls (4-11) (0-2) lost in a game against the Bloomington Bobcats on Tuesday, Dec. 17, with a score of 57-60.
“We’re still having a tough time finishing,” said Coach Brett Nidey. “Each time down the floor is important and we are working on playing every minute of the game. The girls do play hard and I love that about them,” he said.
