Evans earns MVP and beyond

Edna senior Natasha Evans was playing in a San Antonio volleyball tournament at the Alamodome when she learned about her making the Texas Sports Writer Association/Collin Street Bakery Class 2A All-State 1st team. It was unexpected for her, because she'd already been named Victoria Advocate's Volleyball MVP, All-Area MVP and All-District Defensive MVP. Her setting and all-around court skills helped the Edna Cowgirls win many games, and her inner and outer strength is evident to anyone watching her play.
"Over the years, volleyball has been rewarding, full of hard work, and fun. It's something I can say is a stress reliever when I'm having a bad day," Evans said. "I love it."
