The Industrial Cobra softball team hosted a game against the Edna Cowgirls on Tuesday night, April 7, and won, 12-1. Coach Ted Malek said the team finally came out of their slump, and it was a good all-around game. "We came out as a team and hit that ball everywhere," he smiled.
Cobra Landry Mikulec pitched the game, while 'Girl Britttany Ressman did the same for her team. Cowgirl Chasity Richmond starting stealing bases in the top half of the inning, and ended up stealing home as well, giving the 'Girls their one point on the board.
By the end of the first inning the Cobras had four points scored, but the Cowgirls held them there through to the third inning. The Cobras continued to score in the third and fourth inning, adding two points each inning. The fifth inning was particularly good for the Cobras, being that they scored the majority of their points there, and freshman Jillian Jones stole home to make the final score 12-1.
