Voting underway

Early voting began on April 29 for the Ganado City Council and ESD3 election.
As of presstime, in Ganado there were five voters who cast their ballot for the three city council positions up for re-election. Incumbents are Calvin Callies, Blake Petrash, and Robin Bauerle. Carl Russellburg is also vying for a council seat.
In the ESD3 election there were 28 voters who cast an early ballot. There are 4,748 registered voters in the EISD who are eligible to vote in this election. The last day to request a mail ballot is Friday, May 3.
A call button has been installed in the handicapped parking area of the courthouse for those who need curbside voting.
Election day is Saturday, May 11.
