A statue of his own

Edna ISD unveiled and dedicated its new domed gym at a ceremony on Sept. 25. In a surprise presentation, Superintendant Bob Wells was presented with a desktop-sized replica of Frederic Remington’s sculpture “Bronco Buster” from community members. Wells was instrumental in obtaining the full-sized statue that sits in the lobby of the new high school. Presenting the stature to Wells from left are, Harrison Stafford and Joe Speed.
