Young bull rider to compete in world finals

Gene Ratliff, son of Budd and Jaime Ratliff of LaVernia and formerly of Edna, will compete in the Youth Bull Riders World Finals in Abilene Aug. 7-10. He will compete in the 10 and under Junior Steer Riding. More than 50 youth from the United States and Mexico will compete in this age group. Gene is the grandson of Bryan and Becky Miska of Edna.
