Fresh fruit and more at farmer's market

Sherman Thompson Sr. and Shermeka Thompson of Edna tempted shoppers with some tasty watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple fruit cups at the Ganado Farmer’s and Handmade Market on July 27. They also sold whole melons to those who wanted to take home more than a cup. Other vendors at the market sold fresh produce, locally produced honey and handmade yard art, wooden furniture, and jewelry. The next market will be on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in downtown Ganado.
