Juneteenth plans now underway

Planning is underway for the fifth annual Juneteenth celebration in Edna.
According to pageant director Kisha Wilkins, the festivities will kick off with the Juneteenth pageant on Friday, June 14.
Youth ages 3 through 18 are eligible to participate in the pageant, which begins at 6 p.m. and is held at the Shelby Park Community Center.
