Edward Suniga

    Edward Suniga, of Edna, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at the age of 79. He was born Feb. 16, 1937, in Jackson County, Texas, to the late Seberiano and Juanita Suniga.     Edward was a loving brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed dearly.     He is survived by his sisters, Olivia Liserio (Antonio), Rosa Arismendez (Ramon), Eloisa Leonardini (Russell); brothers, Sam Suniga, Manuel Suniga (Theresa), Roger Suniga (Rosa), Joe Suniga (Delores), Ruben Suniga (Adelina); and numerous nieces and nephews.     Edward is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Celia Cavazos; sister in law, Ophelia Suniga.     Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 23,  from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in. Reverend Michael Petering will be officiating. Burial to follow at Latin American Cemetery in Edna.     Pallbearers will be Sam Suniga, Manuel Suniga, Roger Suniga, Joe Suniga, Ruben Suniga and Russell Leonardini.     Arrangements under the direction of Oaklawn Funeral Home, Edna, 361-782-2221.
