Rose Marie Koop

    Rose Marie Koop, 87, of Beaumont, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at Christus Hospital – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on June 25, 1928, in Maxwell, Texas, to Hettie Louise Hoffman Wiede and William Henry Wiede.     Rose worked as a bank teller for many years in Edna.     She married her childhood sweetheart, Bill, in 1946, in Koop Settlement, Edna. They resided in Edna until their retirement to Beaumont in 1999.     Rose’s passion in life was serving her Lord through music, playing the organ in her church from age 10 until this past Sunday’s church service at Collier Park Assisted Living in Beaumont.     She is survived by her sons, Daniel William Koop and his wife Carolyn, of Inez; Mitchell Marvin Koop and his wife Susie, of Beaumont; daughter, Kathleen (Koop) Cash and her husband Claude, of Bryan; sisters-in-law,, Emily (Koop) Chase and Lillian (Koop) Wiede, of Edna; grandchildren, Lisa (Koop) Omecinski and her husband Jimmy, of Inez; Gina Bludau and her husband Chris, of Victoria; Daniel William Koop, Jr., of Victoria; Ashley (Koop) Fillips and her husband Drew, of Beaumont; Brian Krukiel and his wife Allison, of Keller; Haley Koop, of Austin; Blake Krukiel, of Beaumont; Keylee (Koop) Sudduth and her husband Micah, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Heath Koop, of Austin; and 11 great-grandchildren.     Rose is preceded in death by her husband, William Koop; her parents; sister, Anita Wiede Koop; and brothers, Marvin H. Wiede and Alfred Wiede.     A gathering of Mrs. Koop’s family and friends will begin at 11 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 19, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 108 E Gayle Street, Edna. Her interment will follow at Red Bluff Cemetery, Edna.     Memorial contributions may be made to music ministry at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 108 E Gayle Street, Edna, Texas 77957.     Arrangements under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, Beaumont, 409-832-1621.
