April 25 is first day to vote early

Edna ISD has a contested trustee position that will be decided at the May 7 election. Leslie J. Kallus and William E. Alex are vying for the District 6 position vacated by long-time trustee John Morrow, who did not file for to run again. Voting will take place at the Jackson County Services Building and Chamber annex.
Candidate profiles for the two candidates will be in the April 27 issue.
Industrial ISD is seeking approval for $25 million in bonds to help pay for facility upgrades. The district has already held to public meetings to answer questions regarding the proposed bonds and a third meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 at the LaWard Fire Hall. Voting will take place at the LaWard Fire Hall, Vanderbilt Fire Hall, Francitas Fire Hall, old Lolita Fire Hall, and Inez Fire Hall.
Ganado ISD will also hold a bond election on Saturday, May 7 for a $24.4 million bond that will upgrade and replace aging facilities that the district has outgrown. Voting will take place at the Ganado ISD administration building.
Early voting for all three elections will take place Monday, April 25 through Tuesday, May 3 at the administrative offices of each entity.
