New gym gets new scoreboard

Edna ISD Board of Trustees gave Edna sports fans something to cheer about by approving a proposal to have a scoreboard on each end of the gym plus a large rectangular scoreboard hung in the center over the court for the Edna High School domed gym at their April 15 regular board meeting.
The proposed cost from the Texas Buy Board was $45,307 and will be paid for through sponsorships by local venders whose business name will appear on the sponsor panels of this scoreboard, according to Fred Grahmann, business manager at Edna ISD. The school solicited a quote for a scoreboard for the domed gym through the State Purchasing Cooperative from Spectrum Scoreboards.
