‘Girls golf finish in fifth

    Edna Golf headed to Quail Creek Country Club in San Marcos April 15-16 for the two-day Region IV golf tournament. The course was a little rough and greens were more sparse then normal from the drought. The Cowboys finished fifth out of 16 teams with a 724 two-day score and the Cowgirls came in eighth of 15 with a 909.
    “I was very proud of our boys golf team,” said Head Coach IC Sklar, Jr. “Things looked good after Monday’s round and the boys knew what they had to do to go to state. We played a better round Tuesday, but fell short. This team will be back next year and will make that goal.”
