Ima Jean Kacer

Ima Jean Kacer, 76, passed away on Nov. 10, 2015.  She was born on March 31, 1939 in Wells, Texas to Robert and Grace Goodwin Rhodes.
Ima Jean married Edmund John Kacer on June 27, 1957, she retired after working in the family restaurant, Kacer's Dairy King located in Louise for 25 years. Ima Jean was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church and Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas, KJZT No. 43 in Ganado.
Ima Jean is survived by her husband, Edmund John Kacer; her daughters, Theresa Kacer of Houston, Mary and Albert Perez of Louise, Judy and Edward Szurek of Cypress; sons, Edmund Joe Kacer of Ganado, Michael and Taucha Kacer of Titusville, Fla., and John and Janet Kacer of Titusville, Fla.; grandchildren; Emily Kacer and Steven Kacer of Titusville, Fla., three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews; her brother, Edward Keith Rhodes of Houston and sister, Darlene Sherman of Alto.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Lottie Dement of Cleveland, and Mozelle Clause of Alto.
Pallbearers were James Webel, Matt Pena, Larry Bures, Johnny Vesely, Kenneth Ballinger and Gary Kacer.
Visitation was Thursday, Nov. 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. with Rosary at 6 p.m. at Ganado Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service was Friday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church. Interment followed at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of South Texas 605 E. Locust Ave. Victoria, TX 77901.  
The services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Ganado Funeral Home, 361-771-2120.
