Pete T. Figueroa Sr., of Edna, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at the age of 77. He was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Ganado to the late Manuel & Victoria Trevino Figueroa.
Pete worked as an auto body mechanic for over 50 years, he also was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose Marie Rodriguez Figueroa; daughters, Diana F. Baez (Agustin T.), of Edna and Jessica F. Posada (Michael), of Bloomington; son, Joe R. Figueroa (Susan) of Killeen; sisters, Angelita Villareal, Mary Alice Estrada and Amelia Trevino; brother, Johnny Figueroa; grandchildren, Agustin Baez Jr., Rosalinda Cortez, Lionel Baez, Christina Rodriguez, Andrea Figueroa, Tony Figueroa, Andrew Figueroa Jr., Arthur Figueroa, Jennifer Torres, Jeanne Figueroa and 23 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Pete T. Figueroa and Andrew R. Figueroa; brothers, Manuel, Tony, Andrew and his sister Louisa Alfaro.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 11 from 5-7 p.m., at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Latin American Cemetery in Edna.
Pallbearers will be Agustin Baez, Agustin Baez Jr., Tony Figueroa, Arthur Figueroa, Joe R. Figueroa, Fernando Rodriguez.
Honorary Pallbearers are Rosalinda Cortez, Christina Rodriguez, Andrea Figueroa, Jennifer Torres and Jeanne Figueroa.
