Sophia Smith

Sophia Lisa Orsak Smith, 54, of Victoria died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. She was born Oct. 8, 1958, in Victoria to Irene Zielonka Orsak of Denton and the late Joe Orsak. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Smith; mother, Irene Orsak of Denton; daughter, Karen Smith; sons, Jeffrey Smith and Zachary Smith, all of Victoria; a sister, Karen Jackson of Denton; and two brothers, Steve Orsak of Katy and Gary Orsak of Ganado. She also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and many extended family members, co-workers and friends.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Rev. Bob Knippenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
Pallbearers will be Chris Orsak, Joseph Orsak, Jason Orsak, Stephen Orsak, Randall Smith and Justin Hosek.
Honorary pallbearers will include all members of the Avon family, the ALS family, caretakers and friends who lovingly supported the family during Sophia's illness.
