Man air lifted after hit and run accident

   A pedestrian-involved hit-and-run had Jackson County abuzz on Saturday night. 
   On Sept. 25, around 8 p.m., Jackson County resident Kyle Coffey, age 32, was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.      Coffey was air lifted to Memorial Hermann in Houston by PHI Life Flight, and has since been released after being originally in serious but stable condition. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office also responded, as well as Jackson County EMS and the Lolita Volunteer Fire Department.
   Investigator Jason McCarrell of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said that the vehicle was described as a light-colored Chevrolet pickup. 
   The investigation is ongoing, but McCarrell said the suspects have been identified.
