Aldace Cook Jr.

Aldace Cook Jr. died Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was the second child of six children born to the late Aldace Cook and Duory Lee Jordan Cook in Edna.
He leaves to cherish his memory devoted loving and faithful wife and bride of 40 years, Arlesia; sons Demitrius, Rashard and wife Joy, and Dennis, all of San Diego, Calif., Aldace III, and James and wife Natasha of Austin; and daughter Rosa of Austin; 13 grandchildren, four beautiful girls and nine handsome boys living from coast to coast between Atlanta, Ga., Austin, Texas and San Diego, Calif; and one loving God-daughter, Oteka Newton of Los Angeles, Calif. They will truly miss the warm glow and loving eyes of “PauPau.” He also leaves one brother, Willie Cook of Berkeley, Calif.; and four sisters, Elia Cook, Shirley Cook Walker, Mark Cook Hood and husband Robert, and Stella Cook Bell and husband Harris, all of Austin; uncle, Willie Jordan and wife Jessie of Houston; and aunt Lena Lafridge of Edna; along with numerous nieces and nephews and over 50 foster children.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March, 28 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Edna. Burial will follow at Hines Cemetery in Edna.
