Cowgirl volleyball

    The Edna Cowgirls played the Cuero Lady Gobblers on Aug. 25 and lost in three games, 20-25, 21-25 and 20-25. The Cowgirls also hosted a tournament this past weekend and lost to Bloomington in two games on Aug. 27, 23-25 and 16-25. They also played Brazos and lost in two, 23-25 and 19-25.
    Haleigh Evans said the main focus is getting the newer girls experienced before district play, since two of their varsity players are out on injuries. “We’re just trying to always talk to them and help them out with our quicker schemes on offense and working on our defense.”
