Softball Cobras chosen for teams

    Members of the Industrial Cobra softball team were chosen for All-District, All-Area and All-State teams recently. The team ended with a 20-7 record for the 2015 season and was second in their district.
    Senior Kasi Bethke was named All-District Defensive Player of the Year with a .991 fielding percentage and had a batting average of .391. She was also named catcher for the All-Area Second team, and was on the All-State Second team, and Academic All-State as well. Making pitcher for the All-District First Team was senior Landry Mikulec with a 16-7 record in 143 innings with 149 strikeouts. Mikulec also was named pitcher for All-Area First team, All-State First team and All-State Academic.
    Freshman Jillian Jones was named First base All-District First team and had a batting average of .469, and was also named First base All-Area First team. Reagan Doyle was named to All-District First team shortstop and All-Area Honorable Mention shortstop. She had a batting average of .360.
    Senior Elizabeth Kolodziejczyk was named as All-District First team centerfield, All-State Second team and Academic All-State. Designated player and freshman Sarah Kusak was put on All-District First team, and had a batting average of .391.
    Making the All-District Second team was right field Cierra Borak and second base Lexey Mikulec. Borak had a batting average of .330 and Mikulec had a batting average of .320 and also had a 4-0 pitching record.
     Senior and utility player D.J. Adams, junior and third base Katie Sparkman, and junior  and outfield player Skylar Chreene were named to the All-District Honorable Mention team.
