Twelve county lifters to press luck at State

    Megan Taylor is going back to state for her fourth trip. Taylor won her class again at the Region 4 Division 3 Powerlifting meet in Palacios, March 9. The Edna girls team finished second, with six girls total advancing to the State Powerlifting Meet March 16 in Corpus Christi. Taylor will be joined in Corpus Christi to compete at state by fellow Maiden Zoe Valdez and Cowgirls Kamryn Roman, Dolly Ortiz, Eboni Ogden, Ja-Nessia Prince, Laura Garcia, and Shermeka Thompson. The Maidens team was third.
    At the boys Division 3 Championships in Cleveland March 2, Trenton Thedford and Jesus Rios of Industrial and TJ Foley and Logan Robinson of Edna squatted, pressed and heaved their way to the boys State Meet March 23 in Abilene. Industrial finished fourth as a team, Edna was eighth and Ganado came in 14th. Individual results are in the paper.
