The Edna boys junior varsity golf played in the Cowboy Invitational March 5, tying for fifth place with a 411.
“The JV boys did a very good job on Tuesday,” said Head Coach IC Sklar. “They shot their best team score for the year. Lane Koop and Hunter Boxwell shot their best round in tournament competition.”
Koop broke 100 with a 51 and a 45 for a 96-stroke day and Boxwell was on the cusp with a 101, shooting a 52 on one pass and a 49 on the other. Colton Fowler scored a 105 with a 51 and a 54 and Lucas Callies notched a 109, opening with a 55-stroke round and closing with a 54. Jonah Rodriguez putted up a 56 and followed with a two-stroke improvement 54 for a 110 scorecard.
