Cobra softball prepares for district

The Industrial Cobra softball team played the St. Paul Cardinals on March 3 and won 9-5.
Coach Ted Malek said the girls did a good job, and although they have some things to work on, they did well at working towards a common goal. “To score in every inning, that’s the goal,” he said.
Good catches were made by Reagan Doyle and Katie Sparkman, and catcher Kasi Bethke scored on pitcher Landry Mikulec's hit, and Sparkman got a walk. Skylar Chreene ran in another point for Mikulec, and the score was 2-2 at the end of the first.
Reagan Gasch scored one  in the second inning, and Sparkman scored on Lexey Mikulec's hit and brought the score to 3-2 in the Cobra's favor.
The Cardinals had a lead until Chreene scored on Doyle's hit and tied the game 5-5. Bethke hit a double and brought in Cierra Borak and Doyle, and Landry hit a single that brought in Bethke. Jillian Jones then hit a ball that brought in Landry, making the score 9-5.
