She rescues cats

Amanda Wenske is passionate about something that many consider a nuisance. While many think of the stray cats that hang around as next to vermin, Amanda sees them as animals who need her, and she is happy to help.
Wenske heads up the budding Jackson County Trap, Neuter, Return program, something she says is easy for her.
“It’s something I’m good at. I’ve been around cats all my life,” she says.
