Mryvle "Lonnie" Lindberg
Myrvle Lon (Lonnie) Lindberg, Sr. passed away on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Edna. He was born Jan. 25, 1935 to Bill and Imogene Lindberg. He was a long time resident of Wharton and has resided in Edna for the past 13 years. Lonnie was a hard worker, loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vera Wisnieski Lindberg, and his brother James Arthur Lindberg, Sr.
Lonnie is survived by his wife Betty Cornelius Lindberg, son Myrvle Lon Lindberg, Jr. (Sharon), daughters Bernadette Kenny (John), Tammy Stanford (Johnny), Diane Williams (James) and Laura Kuritz (Jeff), sisters Billy Jean Webernick, Melba Lindberg and Kay Tucker, also survived by 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Slavik Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 24 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Edna with internment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton at 2 pm.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Myrvle Lon Lindberg III, Curtis Stanford, Josiah Williams, Daniel Smithwick, Joshua Kuritz and James Kuritz.
Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Kachmar, Laddie Svatek, Sherrell Speer, Dr. Clark Spears, Donald Long, Wendel Hamilton, Otto Koenning and Jerry Zavesky.
Memorial donations in memory of Lonnie Lindberg may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Edna.
Services are under the direction of Slavik Funeral Home 209 N. Allen Ave. Edna, TX 361-782-2152.
