Mt. Olive Baptist Church will hold its 29th Annual Thanksgiving Feast on Thanksgiving Day at the Jackson County Services Building auditorium. The meal, consisting of turkey and dressing with all the traditional sides and trimmings, is free and open to the public.
The event will begin with a devotion at 10:30 a.m. and will end 1 p.m. or when all the food is gone.
People who are immobile or otherwise confined to their home can call by Monday, Nov. 24 and a meal will be delivered to them, free of charge.
The church is seeking volunteers to help set up, serve, clean up, and deliver food, and is accepting donations to help with the cost of the meal. Volunteers or people who cannot attend, but would like a meal delivered, can call Mary Ann Jones at 782-5911, and donations can be mailed to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, P.O. Box 631, Edna, TX, 77957.
