A friendly showdown amidst fans

Two Jackson County fathers are hoping to start a new friendly and fun trophy competition tradition between two fan-based rivals, calling it the Lavaca River Showdown. From left, Cippi Palacios of Edna is representing the Edna Cowboys fans and Wess Prukop of El Toro will be representing the fans of the Industrial Cobras. "We are just looking to have a little friendly competition with friendly bragging rights" said Palacios and Prukop. They would also like to thank Kevin and Marcy Davis of Davis Jewelry for their donation of the trophy. The first annual Lavaca River Showdown will be held this Friday night at Cowboy Stadium.
