Paulino Verver

    Paulino 'Weno' Dovalina Verver, of Edna, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at the age of 82. He was born in Palacios on Sept. 2, 1931, to the late Fermin and Otilia Dovalina Verver.
    Paulino worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years from where he retired. Paulino was very proud to serve in the Korean War before his honorable discharge. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.
    Paulino is survived by his sisters, Lilia Verver of Edna, Asusena Martinez of Austin, and Isabel Verver De La Vega and husband Hank of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, Joe Verver of Ganado, Margarito Verver and wife Leonora of Edna; nephew, Fermin Verver and wife Susie of Victoria and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Paulino is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Macaria Alanis, Andrea Alvarez, and Maclovia De La Garza; and brothers, Pablo Verver, Indalecio Verver and Fancisco Dovalina Verver.
Visitation will be Friday, July 18 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Oaklawn Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Reverend Michael Lyons will be officiating.
    Pallbearers will be Joe Verver, Margarito Verver, Fermin Verver, Steve Basco, Mario Martinez, Don Verver, Jessie Ballin, Jr. and John Anthony Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers are Miguel Martinez, Jessie Ballin, Sr., Francisco Verver, Jr., Fermin Verver, Jr. and Frank Verver.
