Cobra Maraggia has big goals and future in running

    If there was an award for Most All-Around guy, Industrial senior Will Maraggia would definitely be in the running, if not the shoo-in for the win. Even with the aura of confidence he carries with him, he’s kind, polite, funny, hard-working, and is known for putting others first, not to mention he can run like the wind. One of his ultimate goals after being a collegiate runner is to become a national champion.
    Maraggia said his running career started in elementary school, when he involved himself in the track meet annually and did well.
    “I never got the feeling that I could do really well until my eighth grade year. The district cross-country race for junior high came up and coach needed some guys to put on the team so they could have a full team for the race,” he said. “I thought I was a decent runner so I volunteered to run at district thinking that I could maybe help the team a little. I hadn’t ran all year so I wasn't expecting to do all that great.”
