Maiden top athlete is also Valedictorian

Ganado Maiden senior Ashley Bridges is a class act, and if you ask anyone who knows her and they’ll agree. She has played volleyball, basketball, softball, track and cross-country nearly every year of high school, has won Athlete of the Year her freshman, sophomore and junior year and has won countless awards and is involved in more than a few clubs. She is thoughtful, intelligent, genuine and one of the most well-rounded people one might meet. Has it been mentioned that she’s her school mascot, Chop-Chop, and her Class Valedictorian, too? It can be summed up best by a random high schooler overheard at a volleyball game…“What can Bridges not do?”
“There are many things that I cannot do; I’m human and am not perfect. My friends always joke about this with me,” she said. “I am terrible at things like doing my hair and make-up, and I have trouble peeling an orange, it's a joke with my friends, because I cannot peel oranges to save my life!” she joked.
And the hits just keep on coming. At this year’s Athletic Banquet, she picked up the night’s top honors, including the Claudia Swenson Award, the Babe Housson Award, the Larry Conner Maiden Pride Award and Female Athlete of the Year.
