Lafayette, La. police looking for help finding suspect

Investigators from Lafayette, La. are asking for help from Jackson County citizens regarding a sexual assault that occurred in a parking lot in Lafayette, La. on Dec. 26, 2013.
The female victim was forced into her SUV at gunpoint and sexually assaulted.
According to Corp. Paul Mouton, public information officer with the Lafayette Police Department, the victim’s drivers license was found outside of a business in Ganado on March 29.
“It was discovered in good condition... leading investigators to believe that the license had only been there for a short period of time,” he said. “It is possible the suspect traveled to or from Ganado to Lafayette for employment reasons.”
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-40s, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, cowboy boots, black sunglasses with black/gray spiky hair and a short beard.
Detectives are asking anyone with information as to the identity of the suspect in the sketched drawing to call Lafayette Police at 337-291-8600 or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS.
