Colton Devon Fitzpatrick

Colton Devon Fitzpatrick, 19, of Edna passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014. He was born April 5, 1995, in Victoria.
    Colton was a hardworking, honest and loyal young man who loved his family and friends, he also loved the outdoors whether it be fishing, hunting or hanging out with his friends. He was  helpful to everyone. He had a smile that would light up a room, and the brightest eyes that would melt your heart. Colton had a knack of drawing you in with his personality and would help anyone in need. His heart was huge and he loved unconditionally. He loved his dad, Dee, and his stepmother, Macrina, unconditionally.
    He was planning to pursue a career in Criminal Justice in the fall at Victoria College.
    Survivors include his father Dee and stepmother Macrina Fitzpatrick of Edna; aunts and uncles Diane and Ray Young, of Inez, Pam and Ray Martin of Oklahoma, Hope and Daryl Woods of Edna; grandmother Norris Fitzpatrick; sister Chelsea and husband TysonReeder of Victoria; his mother and step-father, Susan and Darren Hornstein of Inez; sisters, Christy Crisp and husband, Justin of Inez, Jessica Lewis and husband, David,; nephews, Johnathan Garcia, Koa Crisp and Treydon Reeder; grandparents, Ben and Sarah Murphy and Geraldine and Marvin Hornstein.
    Colton is preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Devon Fitzpatrick; aunt, Gail Born and uncle, Kenneth Murphy.
    A memorial service was held on Friday, May 2 at 3 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Edna with Rev. Andrew Schroer officiating. Funeral services were held at 10  am Friday, May 2, 2014, at Parkway Church with Pastor Mike Hurt officiating. Burial  followed in Bischoff Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Josh Rosalez, Will Knopp, Madison Hencerling, Jordon Burrier, David Franz, Brady Karl, Bryson Koop and Denton Lesak.
    In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to the Colton Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarship Fund.
