The Ganado Indians (4-8) played Weimar on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and lost, 35-37.
“We lost to a heartbreaker,” said Coach John Armstrong. “We were down early and started slow, and we still made our way back to play hard. But Weimar has a good team, they’re district champs.”
Kameron Smith scored 10 points, and Clay Vesely scored eight points. Austin Alford and Taylor Thedford each scored six points apiece.
“We had a shot at a last-second shot to tie the game but we missed it,” Armstrong said.
The Indians were tied for third place with Flatonia and played each other in a district game on Friday, Feb. 14, and lost with a final score of 32-43.
With that game, the Indians finished their season placing fourth in district.
