A 2012 white Dodge pickup truck with a 1980 homemade trailer struck a guardrail on U.S. 59 near Navidad River just outside of Ganado at 10:41 a.m. on Feb. 4.
Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Gerald Bryant said the truck was driven by Jose Aguilar, 45, of Ganado and belonged to Jones & Allen, Inc. in Ganado. Bryant said there were two passengers in the vehicle with him. He said it was a minor wreck and there were no injuries.
The truck was traveling southbound on U.S. 59 and was hauling a three inch pipe. Bryant said shortly after the truck had entered the entrance ramp to the highway the driver passed a vehicle by going to the outside lane.
“Once the truck was shifting back to the inside lane, they felt the trailer sliding back and forth,” he said. “They went off to the  right striking the quardrail and the truck went on top of the guardrail. The trailer swung around and hit the left side of the truck causing it to flip over.”
There are no charges at this time. Trooper Kevin Henneke of Yoakum responded to the accident.
There was another non-injury wreck at 10:48 a.m. that day in the north side of Ganado involving a 2012 International truck trailer pulling two box trailers. The truck trailer belonged to Southeastern Freight of Houston and was driven by Rosario Gutierrez, 35, of Houston.
The other vehicle involved in the wreck was a 2007 Mack truck tractor that was pulling a flatbed trailer. It belonged to Harden Tubular of Victoria and was driven by Alex Torres, 51, of Victoria.
Both vehicles were traveling northbound. The International truck was in the outside lane and the Mack truck was in the inside lane. Both were side by side when a cross wind shifted from the outside lane to the inside lane causing the Mack truck to hit the International truck. Bryant said the two vehicles basically swiped each other. Trooper Kenny Parma of Victoria responded to the accident.
