Pursuit ends in Edna

A pursuit that was initiated in Victoria ended in Edna today around 3 p.m. The vehicle had been spiked. Edna Police Chief Clinton Wooldridge said the Victoria Police Department had called Jackson County for assistance. Wooldridge said spike strips were placed. 

Both front tires of the vehicle were blown out after running over the spike strips. The vehicle was headed towards Edna on U.S. 59 before going through Amos Service Station on Main Street. It came to a complete stop near Colorado Street and Houston Street.

He said two occupants were arrested by Victoria police officers and transported back to Victoria.

No one was injured.
