Jimmie Roznovsky

Jimmie J. Roznovsky, 70, joined his heavenly family, Saturday, Feb. 5, 2017. He was born June 2, 1946 in Blanco to the late Albert and Pearl Renken Roznovsky.
He served in the Army National Guard and retired from Alcoa after 44 years of service. He was a member of The Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Ganado and was a 4th Degree KC.
He was known as “Poppa Roz” always the first to volunteer and had a generous spirit to help anyone in need. Over the years he was involved in several activities such as Alter Serving, Eucharistic Minister, Marriage Encounter, ACTS and Kolbe Prison Ministry, and Park Host, serving the community and our Lord where ever needed.
He lost his beloved wife, Lorene Sokol Roznovsky on July 1, 2016, after 50 years of marriage. He found his strength from God and his beloved family; sons, Michael W. Roznovsky and wife Carol and Thomas L. Roznovsky and wife Tammy, all of Ganado; grandchildren, Trace, Asher and Rae-Lynn Roznovsky; brother, Ronnie Roznovsky (Kathy) of Yoakum; and numerous family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorene; and son Chuck Allen Roznovsky.
A Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Ganado.
A second Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum.
A Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John Peters officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jason Roznovsky, Larry Migl, Scott Migl, Chris Sokol, Sarah Clark, Valia Achille, and Roy Pruitt.
Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren, Trace, Asher and Rae-Lynn.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given the St. Joseph Endowment Fund or Donor’s Choice.
