Troy Stephenson
Troy Allen Stephenson, of Inez, passed away on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, with his loving family by his side at the age of 46. He was born in Cotulla on Jan. 8, 1971, to Allen Boyd Stephenson and Sharon Lee Mercer Stephenson.
Troy worked at Victoria Bearing and Gulf Bolt for the past 2 years. Prior to that, he was employed in the oilfields across Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, and North Dakota. Troy was not only a wonderful husband and father, but he was selfless about spending time with his large extended family and countless friends. Passionate about being outdoors, many of his most memorable and serene times were spent hunting and fishing. Troy’s inherent generosity came from deep within his heart and soul, his only true desire to protect those he loved fiercely and to see them content. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who impacted everyone he met by touching people’s hearts. Troy’s humble, kind and joyful nature has left its mark on hundreds of people – he was a gentle gentleman and all touched by his love are better people for that gift, tied together by deep sadness, but also tremendous gratitude.
Troy is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Jennifer Malek Stephenson, daughter Avereigh Gail Stephenson, son Clayton Allen Stephenson, and devoted poodles Princess and Ginger; mother Sharon Lee Stephenson, father-in-law Ted “Buddy” Malek Jr., sister Kimberly Stephenson Hall (Rick), brother Kevin Boyd Stephenson, brother-in-law Bowen Malek (Melynn), brother-in-law Tyson Malek, nieces and nephews Myles Malek, Adysen Malek, Hailey Spradlin, Seth Hall, Kayla Hall, Scott Ashburn, Courtney Stephenson, and Ted Stephenson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
