Elmer Williams

    Elmer Williams, Jr., 72, of Deer Park and Morales, Texas, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 7, 2016, after a six-month battle with cancer.     Mr. Williams was born Sept. 3, 1944, in Okmulgee, Okla., to Elmer Williams, Sr. (d. 2001) and Edna Williams (d. 2013). The family moved to Pasadena, in 1950 and has remained in the area to this day. Mr. Williams is a 1963 graduate of La Porte High School and a retiree from Deer Park's Shell Chemical Company where he worked from 1977 until his retirement in 2005.     Mr. Williams was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Renee' Williams of Morales and Deer Park; daughter Crystal Williams and her husband Randy of Deer Park; son Lester Williams and his partner Vincent Reyes of Friendswood; granddaughter Kristen Villalovos and her husband Marc of Deer Park; grandson Stephen Williams and his fiancé Christy Hall of Deer Park; great-granddaughter Madisyn Villalovos of Deer Park; brothers Lester and Conley Williams of Mont Belvieu; and numerous other relatives and friends.     Visitation took place Friday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at noon in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena, Texas 77505.     In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either of the following: Jackson County Happy Tails Animal Shelter, P.O.
