Edwina Fenner

    Edwina Jo Fenner went to be with the Lord on Nov. 18, 2016 at the age of 83.  She was born in Matagorda County, Texas on April 27, 1933 to the late Ernest Edward and Alta Mae Bishop.     She married O.B. “Buzz” Fenner, Jr. on April 21, 1955.     Edwina, better known as “Nana”, was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved spending time with her family and going to the country with her husband.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Edna where she was a lifetime member of UMW. She loved playing cards, especially bridge. She and her husband “Buzz” were members of the Mustang Square Dancers.     She is survived by her daughters Patricia (James) Knudsen, Cynthia (Kelly) Janica, Cathy (Howard) Marek and Tracy (Lucky) Wells; grandchildren Michael Brent DeBord, Stephanie Hadley, Kurt Janica, Kim Ellen Peters, Tara Currin, Carrie Marek, Kyle Marek, Lucky Wells III, and Elizabeth DeGeorge and 14 great grandchildren.     In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband O.B. “Buzz” Fenner, Jr., sisters Bobbie Burditt, Mary Brown and Charlene Rigdon; brothers Kenneth Bishop, Joe Bishop and Ernest Bishop and granddaughter Katherine Fenner Wells.     Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Grace Funeral Home with the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Grace Funeral Home.
