John Grady Morton

    John Grady Morton, 34, of Ganado, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, 2016.  John was born on May 11, 1982 in Victoria to Mary Kaye Pahmiyer and Carey Morton.       John was one of nine children. He is survived by his grandmother Mary E. Pahmiyer; mother Mary Kaye Pahmiyer; father and stepmom Carey and Ester Morton; aunt and uncle Debbie and Gene Tolilver; brother William "Billy" Strane; sisters Avis M. Morton, Bianca A. Strane, Shellbe Morton, Ashley (Josh) Woodson, Kay Ackley and Nicole (Paul) Garcia; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.     John is preceded in death by his grandfather JB Pahmiyer, grandparents Clarence and Avis Morton; brother Chance Morton;  uncle Ronnie Morton; aunt Glenda Elledge; and great-aunt Jean Pahmiyer.     Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29,  from 5 to 7 p.m. at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 30, at 10 a.m., also at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel.     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Houston Hospice of El Campo 1102 N.
