Naomi Jackson

Naomi Elizabeth Wiegand Jackson, 86, of Edna, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016. She was born Aug. 21, 1929 in Edna to the late Theodore " Ted" Weaver and Willie Ann Cleveland Wiegand. She married Stonewall Jackson on July 6, 1947.     She and her late husband were owners of the OK Mattress & Manufacturing Co. in Edna and the Jackson Bee Farm. For many years she sewed handbags and delivered them to customers. She was a member of the Robinson Street church of Christ in Edna.     Naomi is survived by her daughters, Kathy Jackson of Bay City, Georgia Jackson Nickel of Edna, Glenda Jackson Johnson and husband Philip of Houston, Carolyn Jackson Bartos and husband Darrell of Bay City; sons David Jackson and wife Debra of League City and Calvin “Buster” Jackson of Bay City; sister, Anna Lois Dunham of Houston, and brother-in-laws Charlie Jackson of El Campo and Edward Jackson of Booneville, Ark.; grandchildren Sandy Bell, Sindy Nickel, Monica Jackson Babaian, Kurt Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Chris Lindsey, Kelsey Bartos and fiancee Cody, Kelli Bartos, Chris Jackson and wife Kelsey, and Heather Jackson; great-grandchildren D.J. Bell and wife Megan, Andy Bell and fiance Meagan, Callie Bell, Emma Babaian, Joey Babaian, Lily Jackson, Marshall Jackson, Sera Jackson, Paxtyn Lindsey, Hannah Broadway, Conor Broadway and Landon Nathaniel; and great-great-granddaughter Macyn Remi Bell.     Naomi is preceded in death by her husband; granddaughters Nicole Bartos and Tonya Lindsey; daughter-in-law Pam Jackson; son-in-law Frank Nickel; and grandson-in-law David Bell.     Pallbearers were D.J. Bell, Andy Bell, Kurt Jackson, Chris Lindsey, Chris Jackson, and Charles John Swain. Honorary pallbearers were Cody Witzkoski, Inocente Salazar, Joesph Bababian, and Dylan Jackson.     Visitation was Wednesday, June 22 from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Slavik Funeral Home Chapel in Edna. Services will be Thursday June 23, at 10:30 a.m., at the Slavik Funeral Home Chapel, Edna with Mr. Steven Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens of Edna Cemetery.     Funeral services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, Edna.
