Otto "Sonny" Matus

Otto F. "Sonny" Matus, 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 30 2016. He was born on Feb. 18, 1941 in Ganado to Otto O. and Sophie Sablatura Matus.
Otto worked for and retired from Alcoa after 30 years of service. He loved to hunt and to fish with his grandchildren. Otto will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Otto is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lue Kubecka Matus; and their four sons, Harvey, Scott, Kenneth and his wife Debbie, Randy and his wife Lori; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; two sisters, and one brother, Josephine Janak and Genevieve Buenger, and Johnny Matus and his wife Betty.
Otto is preceded in death by his parents, also his brother Eugene.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2016 at Ganado Funeral Home Chapel from 5:pm to 7:pm, with Rosary being recited at 7:pm
Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 2, at Assumption Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contribution be sent to The Ganado Fire Department or Assumption Catholic Church.
The services have been entrusted to Ganado Funeral Home, 361-771-2120.
